Review: Wand Essentials 7 Function Wand

Wand Essentials 7 Function Wand is a battery powered wand vibrator that was kindly sent to us by Sex Health for the purpose of this review.

Any vibrator that describes itself as a wand immediately raises the bar of my expectations. Bullet vibes or finger vibes are designed to be small and discrete, and because of this they're not always that powerful. However, with wands size and design are often cast aside, making way for the most important feature of a wand: power. And how do I think this one compares on the power scale? Well it's pretty decent actually, a lot better than I was expecting. It doesn't quite live up to the amazing rumbling sensations of the mains powered wand I have tried. But lets be fair to it, it is only battery powered, and of the battery powered vibrators I have tried (quite a lot!) this is definitely the most powerful. However its vibrations are quite buzzy, which left me feeling a bit numb afterwards and unable to enjoy multiple orgasms.

I came home from work the other day to find Alex in the kitchen looking like this cooking me dinner. Well, I couldn't resist, I had to get my camera out to savour the moment - he just looked so fucking hot. As you probably saw, we recently reviewed the wonderful BS is Nice Black Leather Harness for Vibrator Kingdom. We're thrilled to announce that not only is our review now live on their site, but our photos are currently being used as the product images.  We're so chuffed that Penelope thought our photography was good enough to ask to use it in this way. There are some studio lights currently sitting in my ebay basket (at the moment I'm just relying on daylight and a couple of desk lamps!) so hopefully our photography will become even better looking soon.

I absolutely love product photography, and have had lots of lovely comments about my work so far. With some studio lights on board, maybe it is something we could branch out into more commercially as our blog and photography skills progress...

More Sex Please, We're British

Did you hear? Lovehoney are going to be on TV! Needless to say we are very excited. 

Channel 4 are airing a one off documentary called More Sex Please, We're British, on Tuesday 8th May at 10pm. The show will go behind the scenes at one of our favourite online sex toy retailers, Lovehoney. We'll not only find out more about what goes on at their HQ, but also more about the sex habits of the nation. 

It's great to see programmes like this going mainstream. We can't wait to tune in, and we're looking forward to hearing the general reaction to it afterwards.

Review: BS is Nice Black Leather Harness

She Says:

The first time I heard about BS is Nice was when reading this review  by the fantastic sex toy reviewer and blogger BlackSilk. Ever since then I've been dying to find out more about the company and get my hands on some of their products. They are small sex toy manufacturer based in Spain who create luxury silicone dildos and butt plugs in fantastically different colours and styles. Unfortunately their website is under reconstruction so I can't really say a huge amount more than that; I'm very much looking forward to their website going live and finding out more about them.

The BS is Nice harness certainly fits into the category of luxury. Unusually for me I am going to start by talking about  the packaging. Normally I wouldn't even mention it, I'm a firm believer in it's what's inside that counts. But I was so enamoured of the simple, sleek and practical packaging that this harness arrived in, that I felt it deserved recognition. It's basically just a thick, durable, resealable freezer bag with their logo on it. For once it is actually a container that I will use to store the product in as it's not bulky, it's see-though so I can easily pick it out in our drawer and it will keep it clean and away from any other toys that it's around.

For the love of pegging...

Pegging is so often portrayed as an aggressive and dominant act by the woman, but for us (and many others I am sure) that's not what it's about at all. We love pegging, it's so romantic and a wonderful way for me to be able to pleasure Alex (whilst also getting a lot of pleasure from it myself, I get so ridiculously wet doing this).  In some ways I see it as a slightly submissive act on my behalf, because although I am the one in control of the thrusting, it is all about making Alex feel good.  I'll respond to him, his body and his desires. Review: Rocks Off 4US

He Says:

We have tried cock rings before, and I have always been a bit underwhelmed. The material is often either too elastic to have any effect, or solid and difficult to get fitting correctly (not to mention potentially dangerous if too tight). Vibrating rings tend to have extremely weak vibrations which do nothing for Lucy. And I have never really felt the supposed erection-enhancing effects (though my erections do tend to be pretty rigid anyway).

Suffice it to say, we were not holding out hope for this ring which Rocks Off very kindly sent us for review. And my initial thoughts were that it looked quite bulky and intrusive. The basic form is that of a split ring, which is then attached to a side-arm which contains the same RO80mm bullet as many Rocks Off toys. This bullet takes a type n battery (god only knows how expensive that will be to replace), and is removable for cleaning. The bullet is of average strength for its size and could be used independently for clitoral stimulation at a push. The material is a fairly firm silicone, which is good for this application.

Maybe I went a bit over the top with this one...

He Says:

I don't think you could shove this thing up your ass. I'm not even sure you could insert it in your butt. This butt plug is too cute to be so crude. Rather, I think it would be mandatory to pop it in your tush, or something similar. With its petite size, pastel colour and adorable caterpillar-style humps, this is one of the least scary anal toys I have ever seen. Normally I might be a bit put off by that; personally I prefer my anal toys massive and threatening. But I am actually fairly impressed with the look of this.

This even somehow extends to the texture. The normal go-to words for describing the texture of silicone are matte and gloss. However, the best way I could describe this is "foamy". It is springy and squidgy without being rubbery. It's not something I have come across before, but is quite pleasant and could certainly assist with insertion.

Review: Tantus Severin Large Butt Plug

Sex toys, more than most things I can think of in life (excluding marmite, obviously) give people an instant, visceral "love it or hate it" reaction. It can be difficult to overcome one's initial gut reaction. But I would like to report on a rare case where this happened.

When I first saw the Tantus Severin Large butt plug, my instant reaction was a mixture of amusement and disgust, owing to a couple of associations which immediately and unfortunately seared themselves into my mind. To me it looks like a) A giant nipple or b) A dummy (aka a pacifier for our international audience). A bit of a silly picture from us this week - when I first heard about the Sinful Sunday Easter competition all sorts of strange and perverted things cropped into my head.  One that I struggled to shake was an image of a woman tied naked to a cross with bondage ropes with a Hitachi Magic Wand turned on and tied up against her clit.  As hot as this would be I thought I'd leave the darker side of this week to someone else, it's not really my thing.  Instead we decided to have a bit of fun and take my rabbit vibes on a walk to the park.  Picture Alex lying on the ground holding these up for me whilst I take photos and we both stay on the look out for innocent passers by. Review: Lovehoney Powerful Pocket Vibrator

The Lovehoney Powerful Pocket Vibrator is one of the best selling toys on the Lovehoney website - and I can see why.  I've had my pocket vibrator for several years now (in fact, I've got two) and I have to say, it is a fantastic little budget toy.  We've tried absolutely loads of cheap bullet and egg vibrators over the years, most of which we end up throwing away because the vibrations aren't strong enough for me.  Luckily this little lovely lives up to its name - it's powerful and it is small enough to fit in your pocket.

Review: Kiss Me Deadly Van Doren Six Strap Suspender Belt

I am a massive fan of vintage style lingerie. Show me some 40's or 50's pin-ups and I am in my element. It's all about the oversized knickers, chunky bras, sexy suspender belts and nylon stockings. I'd been looking for a decent suspender belt for a while before I came across this one.
